The Women’s Ultrasound Centre provides rapid access to diagnostic tests for women with complications arising out of early pregnancy (from conception to 14 weeks). We provide immediate consultation and interpretation of serum levels of hormones hcG and progesterone. Sometimes, women can encounter problems without warning which can cause a lot of stress; example abnormal bleeding during early days of pregnancy. Women Ultrasound Centre’s same day service ensures they are able to detect problems early on and take the right course of action as needed. Most of the scans are internal scans which ensure the scans give more accurate results. Sometimes abdominal scans are used in cases where an internal scan is not possible. Women’s Ultrasound Centre provides Pregnancy scans such as - Fetal Anomaly Scan, Fetal Growth Scan, Cardiac Scans, 3D and 4D ultrasound. They also provide Gynecological scans to detect problems such as- abnormal bleeding after menopause, ovarian cysts, Ovarian cancer, Period Pains etc. Women’s Ultrasound Centre is founded by Professor Tom Bourne, a world-renowned authority on the use of ultrasound in gynaecology and the management of early pregnancy complications. He is Adjunct Professor in the Department of Surgery & Cancer, within the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London and Consultant Gynaecologist at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital. Previously, he was Consultant Gynaecologist at St George’s Hospital, in South London, and Reader in acute gynaecology and gynaecological ultrasound at St George’s University of London.
